Michael J. Lanza

​Michael graduated from South Windsor High School in 1973 and the University of Connecticut in 1977 with a degree in Accounting.  Upon graduation from college Michael worked at The Hartford Insurance Group and then pursued a career in law receiving his Juris Doctor degree from Western New England Law School in 1983.

Michael has been active in local community affairs and has served on local boards and commissions; Michael has taught and served as the Director of the Vernon Adult Education People’s Law School and serves as Counsel for the Town of East Windsor WPCA.

John graduated from South Windsor High School in 1964 and from St. Anselm College in 1968.  A graduate of Suffolk University Law School, John joined the firm in 2014, as Of Counsel.

John has had an extensive local and state government service career.  A former South Windsor Town Attorney and Town Council member, John has served in the Connecticut State Legislature and as a State Ethics Commissioner from 2000-2004.  John has been a member of the Central Connecticut State University’s Political Science Department since 2008, serving as an adjunct political science professor.

John graduated from South Windsor High School in 1981 and Stonehill College in 1985 with a degree in Criminal Justice.  John became a member of the South Windsor Police Department in 1985 and served in various patrol, investigative and administrative positions within the department.  After seventeen years with South Windsor Police, and having received his Juris Doctor degree from Western New England Law School, John left the South Windsor Police Department in 2002 and began a new career in the general practice of law.  John joined the firm as, Of Counsel in 2020.

Professional Affiliations

After graduating from Kingswood-Oxford School in 2003, Mike continued his education at Trinity College and then to the University of Richmond School of Law in Richmond, Virginia.  Upon graduation from law school in 2010, Mike relocated to Washington, DC where he served as legislative counsel to a senior member of the U.S. House of Representatives. After leaving Capitol Hill, Mike worked in government affairs, representing various businesses and organizations before Congress and the administration. Mike concluded his time in the nation’s capital as senior counsel in the Washington office of Ameriprise Financial. 

Mike returned to his hometown of South Windsor and joined the firm in 2022.
