HAROLD R.
CUMMINGS
(yankeejag@sbcglobal.net)
graduated from South Windsor High School in 1963 and from
Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut in 1967. Hal continued
his education at Georgetown University where he received his
Juris Doctor degree in 1970. Hal then went on active military
duty including a tour in Vietnam with 101st Airborne
Division. Hal returned to South Windsor in 1972 to start his
legal career and continued
military service in the Connecticut National Guard and the U.S.
Army Reserve. Hal is admitted to practice before both the state
and federal courts of Connecticut. A civil trial lawyer, Hal
oversees the firm's administrative law practice. He
serves as a Special Master for the Superior Court and as Attorney for the Town of Vernon. In addition
to his military service and law practice, he has also served on
the Vernon Board of Education, the Vernon Conservation
Commission and the Vernon Planning and Zoning Commission. Hal
has also served as moderator of the First Congregational Church
of Vernon, Connecticut. |

MICHAEL
J. LANZA
(michaellanza@sbcglobal.net)
graduated from South Windsor High School in 1973 and the
University of Connecticut in 1977 with a degree in Accounting.
Upon graduation from college Mike worked at The Hartford
Insurance Group and then pursued a career in law receiving his
Juris Doctor degree from Western New England Law School in 1983.
Mike’s primary areas of practice are accident and personal
injury, real estate, business, estate planning, and criminal
law. Mike has been active in local community affairs and
has served on local boards including the South Windsor Swim and
Tennis Club. Mike for the past ten years has taught and served
as the director of the Vernon Adult Education People’s Law
School and is a member of both the Hartford County and
Connecticut Bar Associations. Mike is an avid skier, golfer and
tennis player. |

VINCENT J.
PURNHAGEN
(vinpurnhagen@sbcglobal.net)
grew
up in Manchester, Connecticut graduating from East Catholic High
School class of 1981. After high school, Vinnie attended the
University of Connecticut graduating in 1985. A graduate of
Western New England Law School, Vinnie joined the law firm in
1988. Vinnie’s practice concentrates on the representation of
clients in bankruptcy, probate administration, real estate and
family law matters. Vinnie has been active in local community
activities, serving as a member of the Ellington Democratic Town
Committee, the Ellington Inland Wetlands and Conservation
Commission and the Ellington Parks and Recreation Commission.
Vinnie is an accomplished pianist and avid tennis player. |

ASSOCIATES
EMILY OLSON
(emilyolson@sbcglobal.net)
attended Brandeis University, Harvard University, and the
University of Illinois. She received her Juris Doctor from the
University of Connecticut in 1979 and has been a member of the
Connecticut Bar since 1979. She worked for the Commission on
Human Rights and Opportunities and the Department of Social
Services since 1970. She retired from state service in 2003. Emily's practice concentrates on the representation of clients in Elder Law and Medicaid (Title XIX) eligibility.
She sings with the South Windsor Community
Chorus. Emily is a member of Temple Beth Hillel and serves on
the Religious Practices Committee. |

OF COUNSEL
EDWARD
R. KUEHN
is a 1940
graduate of the University of Connecticut. He entered the
military in 1941 where he served as an infantry company
commander with the First Infantry Division in the North African
Campaign and returned home only after being badly wounded in
Sicily. After discharge, he entered UConn Law School and
graduated with Honors in 1948. Ed served as local Judge of
Probate for 28 years.
